MG Aviation Consultancy was established by Matt in 2025 to provide high quality professional services to the aviation, legal and professional sectors.

MG Aviation Consultancy is based in Ireland, with it’s rich aviation heritage and pedigree allows for access to an extensive range of aviation services, although MG Aviation Consultancy works with customers on a global scale.

Matt formed the concept for the company from a desire to use his knowledge and experience gained from 30 years of working within the industry at a number of levels and sectors to ‘give back’ something which enables the industry to continue to thrive.

Starting in the industry as a young teenager, working weekends and school holidays, Matt began his aviation career working at his local airfield as an aircraft refueler. After leaving school at 16 years of age, Matt made this part-time job a full time one and quickly moved areas, working as an air traffic control assistant, also at his local airport, from here, Matt went to work within the flight training industry for several years, rising to the post of Operations Manager for one of the UK’s largest flight training schools.

From here, Matt moved into commercial aviation working for several different airlines in their Operations Control departments, the beating heart of any airline. After several very enjoyable years of airline operations work, Matt took another step in this large and varied industry to work within the aircraft leasing sector where he managed the ferry flight services department for a large technical services provider to the aircraft lessors and airlines.

Matt continues his full time work within this area of the industry where today he helps to run a successful business operating predominantly large transport aircraft on a global scale for lessors, airlines and private owners. Matt provides, through MG Aviation Consultancy, aviation auditing services, Expert Witness work to the legal and insurance sector as well as aviation consultancy services.

Matt is a fully qualified lead and senior auditor, expert witness as well as an accredited IBAC IS-BAO auditor with OP (operations), FW (fixed wing) and SRQ (special regulatory qualification) credentials as well as an IBAC IS-BAH auditor for Business Aircraft ground handling.

MG Aviation Consultancy, through Matt, is a full member of the Expert Witness Institute and National Expert Witness Agency. As a member of these prestigious organisations, Matt is afforded the UK post nominals of MEWI (Member Expert Witness Institue) and MEWA (Member Expert Witness Agency).

MG Aviation Consultancy is fully insured with provisions of Aviation Professional Indemity and Business Cyber and Data Insurance.
